How did the idea for the Murre Gin come about?
Die Idee war einen Gin zu machen bis wir ein für uns passendes Fass Whisky in Schottland bekommen. Es fehlte aber das besonderes Etwas um sie in die Tat umzusetzen, etwas das uns und unser Dorf mit dem Gin verbindet. Bei einem Hundespaziergang kam der zündende Einfall. Unser Gin kommt aus Sankt Augustin-Hangelar bei Bonn im Rheinland, hier wurden früher Möhren angebaut. Wir wollten ein Produkt mit Lokalkolorit schaffen, eines das eine gehörige Portion Heimat in sich trägt – Murre (rheinisch für Möhren) Gin eben.
